meet Randi Jacobsen
Randi is an award-winning corporate, news and documentary filmmaker with more than 25 years experience in broadcast and corporate media production. Producing for major market newscasts in San Diego and Los Angeles, led to the L.A. Bureau for ABC Network News, followed by eight years as Senior News Producer for Entertainment Tonight.
Transitioning to freelance production, broadcast credits include Good Morning America, World News Tonight, 20/20, CBS Evening News, Today Show, Dr. Phil, HGTV, Discovery Channel and Travel Channel and Rachael Ray, to name a few. Nationwide field assignments include both breaking news and human interest, ranging from Presidential campaigns, Olympic coverage and live national satellite segments to red carpet and celebrity backstage award coverage.
After relocating to Montana, Randi formed Up A Creek Films, (formerly Big Sky News & Entertainment,) where she continues regular assignment work as well as full-service production, including writing, producing, directing and editing, for national media as well as domestic and international corporate clients.
meet Tim Jacobsen
Tim brings his background in business to Up a Creek Films, having studied at the USC Business School and owning a successful Los Angeles company. The transition to film and broadcast was an easy jump, as he has always been passionate about art and brings that artistic vision to his film work.
Over the last decade, Tim has worn many hats in the world of film and broadcast. Having trained in the field with several notable cinematographers, he has developed a skill set that includes cinematographer, audio engineer, field producer, lighting designer and grip.
His camera and field experience in broadcast and corporate media includes: ABC News, Fox Sports, The Today Show, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, The Oxygen Network, CBS Early Show, CBS Evening News, University of Great Falls, Museum of the Rockies and the Artemis Institute.
